Our Urgent Care Accepts Blue Cross and Most Major Health Insurance Plans Along with a Self-Pay Option for Those with No Insurance.
Patients with Insurance:
AFC Urgent Care Cherrydale is “In-Network” with and accepts the following insurance programs: Blue Cross Blue Shield/PAI, BCBS, BCBS State, United Healthcare/Golden Rule, Healthlink, CIGNA, CIGNA/Great West, Consumers Choice Aetna, Medicare (Railroad Medicare, Windsor Medicare/Wellcare Medicare, AARP, UMR, Humana, Nippon Life, Care Improvement Plus), Tricare (Standard and Prime), Humana/Choice Care, Carolina Care/Med Mutual of Ohio/SuperMed, Golden Rule Assurant Health, Medcost, Coventry/Wellpath, Coventry, and Carelink Coventry. We do accept traditional (Molina, Wellcare, First Choice).
If you are covered by one of the insurance companies listed above, you will be responsible to pay any co-pays, coinsurance or deductibles as required by your specific plan. If we are out of network with your insurance company, and you have out of network coverage, we will process the claim for you.If your insurance plan is not listed above and you do not have out of network coverage, we will take payment at time of service and will provide the necessary documentation to submit your claim to your insurance company.

What is an EOB?
Several weeks after you visit AFC Urgent Care Cherrydale you could receive an EOB (Explanation of Benefits) from your Insurance Company. The EOB will summarize your bill for your visit and how it will be paid for.
Patients Without Insurance:
We accept patients without insurance and offer a discount of 20% off our standard fees for these customers. Payment is expected at the time of service and patients are advised of potential charges for services such as X-rays, Labs and Medications prior to the services being rendered so the patient may approve prior to being charged. Patients may pay with cash, credit card or check.
Employer Paid Services:
We work with many employers to provide work related medical services such as Drug Screens (DOT and Non-DOT), Physicals (DOT and Non-DOT), Vaccinations, and in handling Workers Comp injuries. If you are an individual and believe your company may cover a service we offer, please contact the appropriate person at your employers and obtain their approval from to bring in with you.
